Vertical India is developing a comprehensive 40–50 acre aviation campus designed to support a full ecosystem of flight, training, manufacturing, and innovation activities. The campus is planned with future‑oriented aviation disciplines in mind, with dedicated precincts for aeronautical operations, education, and value‑chain development tailor‑made for India’s expanding aerospace sector.
The master plan strategically divides the campus into specialized functional zones to support diverse aviation activities, ensuring operational clarity, safety, and scalability.
A dedicated manufacturing zone will support fabrication, assembly, and prototyping of aviation‑related equipment and subassemblies. This area is envisioned with industrial sheds, tooling infrastructure, and production workflows suited to bespoke light aerospace components and composites, supporting domestic value creation and future growth.
The MRO zone will house hangars, inspection bays, and technical repair facilities to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with full diagnostic, repair, and overhaul capabilities. This supports fleet readiness for both training aircraft and emerging air mobility platforms.
At the heart of the campus, the R&D precinct will bring together design engineers, aeronautical specialists, and simulation labs to innovate in areas such as flight safety, lightweight structures, avionics, and training systems — anchoring Vertical India’s position as a hub for aviation research and innovation.
The training zone includes classrooms, flight simulators, briefing rooms, hangar‑based practical training spaces, and controlled flight areas, enabling structured skill development from basic flight theory to advanced pilot and technical courses aligned with global aviation standards.
Vision‑aligned with future mobility trends, the master plan reserves space for vertiports and VTOL support hubs — enabling future deployment of electric Vertical Take‑Off and Landing (eVTOL) vehicles and regional air taxi services, complementing India’s growing Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem.
Campus infrastructure includes robust utilities such as dedicated power distribution, potable water systems, stormwater management, and sewage/effluent treatment (ETP). Comprehensive fire safety networks — including hydrants, alarms, fire vehicles, and trained responders — are integrated into all zones, ensuring compliance with aviation and industrial safety codes.
The campus is designed with sustainability and ESG principles embedded throughout: energy‑efficient buildings, solar power integration, water recycling & ETP systems, waste management, and green buffer landscaping — all aimed at minimizing environmental footprint while creating a resilient aviation campus that supports community engagement, workforce well‑being, and responsible asset stewardship.
